Julie Pretyman, born in Tasmania, has a background as a teacher, teaching for fifteen years in primary schools, and then later as an artist, painting very expressionistic images. She has combined the two areas to create the 'Kaleidoscopes' framework, an arts-based personal growth program for children. The last ten years have taken her on a personal journey of discovery as she explored the language of colour, sound and nature and developed the program. It is now available in kit form with step by step session outlines, as a tool for adults working with children in the classroom, counselling, after-school programs etc.
Julie is now available for training/professional development workshops in this program, which although not essential to its implementation provides an experiential day to raise our own awareness and connect with colleagues.
Isabela Keski-Frantti has been working with children as a teacher's aide in remedial teaching for 4 years. Isabela has a degree in psychology in Brazil and, as a circle dance facilitator,her passion is group work. Her background is - education in human values, holistic counselling, psychodrama and emotional literacy. She has created an art based program called Journey with Dolphins. According to Rudolf Steiner, children connect at a deeper level with the animal kingdom from the age of 8 to 12.
As we all know, children seem to have great love for dolphins. In Journey with Dolphins, they are encouraged to connect with their inner dolphin through self-awareness, playfulness and teamwork. It's a joyful and insightful program that leads to community work - when children are encouraged to become active in the community supporting wildlife organisations.
Bobbie Richardson, born in New Zealand, Mum of 3 children has a background in public speaking to empower others, which is a passion of hers, Author/Ilustrator, graphic artist, painter and performing as a professional vocalist and song wirter.
Along with her own unique abilities of spiritual pursuits she has been working with a Cherokee Elder who has shown her many potentials that are not yet taught in the school system, which has lead her to public speaking and publishing a book which she wrote and illustrated called "Imagine Holding Hands". This interactive book is designed for adults to share with children, opening their imagination and empowering them to create.
Winner of a major radio competition and performing an original song on Channel Seven "Today Tonight" she has since written and recorded 15 songs, including a song for the children called "Hold Hands", to sing, dance and remember we are all united. This song complements the book "Imagine Holding Hands".
